Become a Licensed Investigator

Learn from the best in the industry. This course provides training and licensing to be a Maryland Private Detective. With this license, you can perform investigations, conduct surveillance on subjects and be a Body Guard. This course is a prerequisite for the Executive Protection training course and job placement.

Tuition Cost:

$850 - Classroom and labs only.

Tuition does not include licensing or handgun permitting costs. Not everyone will qualify for handgun permitting, want to be permitted or need to be permitted. Handgun permitting is scheduled for the second week of the class.

$250 - Deposit required at time of registration.

Additional fees for only Private Detective licensing:

$15 - Money order for Private Detective License

$55 - Fingerprinting fee for Private Detective License

Additional fees for Private Detective licensing with handgun permitting added:

$55 - Fingerprinting fee for the Handgun permit

$75 - Money order for Handgun permit - applicable to those who qualify

$400 - Firearms training course required for non-veterans (Handgun training requirement waived for Veterans with Honorable discharge)

Licensing received after course:

Maryland Private Detective License

Requirements:

·       No violent arrests or felony convictions

·       Must be able to legally possess a firearm

·       Must have a current driver’s license

·       Preliminary background check will be conducted to qualify for training.

·       9mm or .40 cal Pistol with Concealable Holster, 3 magazines 10-15 round capacity with a 2 magazine holder required. Students must have his/her own registered handgun. NO RENTALS ARE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME.

WEEK TWO:

Human Intelligence and Intelligence gathering

Stress Inoculation

License application submitting

Familiarization to firearms and concealed carry, dry fire drills.

Range day, live fire drills. Maryland course of fire.

Submit Maryland Private Detective License
