Job Description Details

Reports to:

➢   APOD Group Administration & Post Supervisor.

Job Summary:

➢   Provides a safe and secure environment for clients, visitors, personnel and property from careless, negligent or malicious acts, safety hazards and fire.

Education:

➢   Position requires a High School Diploma or GED.

Certification/Licensure:

➢   Valid security guard licensed as a Level 2 Security Officer in Texas or licensed in another state previously.

➢   Valid Driver’s License.

Experience:

➢   Position requires 2 years of experience in security or military service.

Other Requirements:

➢   Must be a citizen of the United States of America or a permanent resident alien, and or possess documentation to legally work in the United States and has lived in the US for minimum of five years at date of application.

➢   Must be 21 years of age or older.

➢   Must be able to read, speak, write and comprehend the English language; including printed regulations, written instructions, training material, etc.

➢   Must be able to compose reports and document events in a concise and accurate manner in English. This includes the ability to proofread all documentation for grammar, spelling and punctuation.

➢   Must be able to complete pre-employment screening which includes but is not limited to; background investigation, drug screen, prior work experience verification and professional reference questioning.

➢   No arrests or Class A misdemeanors in the past 5 years and no felony convictions.

➢   For veterans, must show DD-214 and have honorable discharge separation category.

➢   Must have reliable transportation.

➢   Must have a US bank account that accepts direct deposit for payroll. No payroll or cash receiving apps permitted.

➢   Must have a smartphone with the ability to download applications on it.

General Job Duties (include but not limited to):

➢   Monitoring all electronic equipment.

➢   Providing direction to and monitoring individuals entering premises.

➢   Maintain security logs and other documentation required.

➢   Answering phones and radio communication.

➢   Roving foot patrol of premises at required times and upon suspicion.

➢   Answer alarms, investigate disturbances and communicate with local law enforcement or fire in cases of emergency.

➢   Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent portage of prohibited or dangerous articles into controlled or restricted areas.
